International Day for Elimination Violence against Women

SWDC   is pleased to commemorate International Day to End Violence against women which was celebrated worldwide. 25th November marks the first day of the 16 days of activism recognized and celebrated internationally. The primary objective of celebrating the big day is to address concerns and sufferings of women all over the world through developing proper and effective strategies to eliminate violence against women globally.

The colorful event was held at SWDC main office where 70 participants (50 women and 20 men) from the 17th districts of Benadir region were invited; among them were representative from district authorities, women and youth groups, traditional leaders, University student’s leaders, IDP focal points and member of Somalia women disability, media .
