SWDC (Somali Women Development Centre) has been working to improve the situation of women in Somalia and envisioned empowering the women to make positive changes in their lives. SWDC applies different strategies striving to minimize the number of women who are subjected to violence by empowering them through access to knowledge and greater economic independence.
SWDC to achieve its goal conducted Community Dialogue on GBV (Gender Based Violence) Prevention and Response for the communities in Kahda District, Mogadishu where violence against the women and girls report.
The sessions on Community Discussion Guide carried out on 25th August 2018 at SWDC HALL and attended 30 participants including the religious leaders, business persons, health workers, school and Quran teachers, IDPs, students, etc. the meeting agendas discussed were (Violence and sexual violence.
