Training Women Police Desk

SWDC in collaboration with UNICEF has conducted two days’ training for police women desk at its office. The training which comprised of 30 of participants from the mentioned unit in Benadir region commenced on 12^th April and ended on 13^th April 2017. on GBV Prevention and Response. The selected target groups for this workshop were only female police operating women desk, they were of different ranks and titles they were led by senior superintendent police Mrs. Fatuma Hassan who is also head of public relation and humanitarians affairs.

Somali Women Development Centre is a non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2000. It strengthens women socially by improving their standard of living and thereby fortifying the family. SWDC programs focus on women at the grassroots level, in areas of intervention, prevention and advocacy together with networking of women’s groups for community development and peace.
